If I am using a 17" monitor Do I need to cut the Fresnels? (change to 19" later on) Wouldnt light leak pass the LCD huh.gif huh.gif
SupraGuy
Well, the pro fresnels are larger than you might need, however, you can leave them large enough for the 19" LCD, you simply make a frame for the17" LCD that blocks light around the LCD. Then, when it's time to upgrade to the 19", make a new frame for that.

Of course the projector's throw will be shorter with the 19" LCD in it.

"frame for the17" LCD that blocks light around the LCD"

would that do something to the picture/brightness? the light would be bouncing between the lcd and the Fresnel
SupraGuy
No.

While there may be some reflection from the frame, it certainly won't be anything efficient.

You need to block unwanted light from the back from getting to the front. This needs to be done, no matter how you design your projector.
