I had something very similar to this, made by the same company, "Dragon." The version I had was their Version 1 Projector. Talk about a smack in the face, and I'm not talking in a good way either.

What Butch said is right, the quality is sub-par at best and even with my Overhead Projector mod, I had a much better picture than this projector ever would. The best thing I ever did for this projector is bought a "true color" LED halogen bulb. The colors looked better but the lumens were extremely low. It's probably 1/3 as bright as a regular 400w bulb.
Final Ruling? Skip this and go for an EVO big time or do what everyone else does here and make your own projector that'll definitely reward itself many times over both in savings and in enjoyment

Hi,
I just got one of these projectors....its ok for a kids toy or older games consoles such as XBOX or PS2 were crisp clarity isnt important. Dvds look pixely but DIVX movies are ok, (vhs quality video is acceptable.) All lights off and its not bad.
The bulb however isnt very bright and so want to upgrade.
I have some questions,
What whattage did you put in your projector?
At 120 lumens, its dim. It comes with a 50wt halogen bulb but dont know the beam spread. Cant seam to find any info about this product on the net. If i was to put a higher wattage bulb in it, would it blow the transformer? Would a 10 degree beam be best? Would a higher wt bulb melt the LCD? It has 2 fans inside the unit. The guy in my local bulb shop said LEDs are alot dimmer than Halogens but I read that there getting better.
Any advice would be appreciated!
