my home theatre is a jvc, here is the link . this is the one i own now

now can i hook it up to my pc



and the converter box i own is this

so do you guys know how to set it up to where i can listen to music and watch movies thru my converter box thru my home theatre

I would bypass the tv box with my P/C sound and go straight to the reciever CD input, I'm talking about sound only.

TOSLINK connector on my audio card i cannot find it the only thing it says is and on the back of my pc is a yellow connection S/PDIF out

1. now the toslink conector can i use regular standard rca cables instead . can i plug the yellow standard rca cable into my S/PDIF out on the back of my pc and on the other end of the standard rca cables i can plug the red and white conection into my cd input on my jvc reciever will that work

No, that won't work. The Red and White RCA plug inputs are right and left analog inputs.
The S/PDIF is a digital connection that has both right and left, and other channels if your PC outputs a digital mutilchannel signal like Dolby 5.1.
You would have to use an RCA cable from the back of the PC's S/PDIF output connection to an RCA S/PDIF input connection on the receiver, if it has one.
If it doesn't, then you don't have digital input on your receiver.
Unless you have S/PDIF optical input, but then you'd need an S/PDIF optical output on the back of your PC.

ok so can i buy this instead The Creative Home Theater Connect DTS-610

ok i talked to cumstomer service they said i would have to unplug my speakers from the back of my pc and plug them into my Connect DTS-610 box and run a toslink (aka) optical cord and plug it into optical out port on the Connect DTS-610 and the other end would plug into my jvc reciever to the optical digital in cd then when i want to listen to my music on my reciever all i have to do is press my cd button and that is it well i am buying this
