Hey,
I just wondered to know if anyone had haas plans for the 15.4" using an 18" beseler. If not I'll just have to go make some. Thanks for the help!

I'm buildign right now. no differance in design so far save the sled and front panel. Sled will need to have spacers to keep everything centered which shouldn't be hard at all. I'm done with the enclosure chasi and will be cutting the sled parts tonight.

Sled has stalled do to lack of quality tools. The table saw I was using just striped out and I have found its great for the big stuff but the bearings are shot so its off center for the small dados. In retrospect that a good thing because nothing would have been adjustable. I stand by my statement above however the way I'm mounting them is going to change so they are adjustable. Though this may be a case of the blind leading the blind... so ask one of the LL venerable for their learned advice. biggrin.gif

well yup what I said last hehe. live and learn - however

the 15.4 lcd + frams fit snug in the t insert part of the sled, the fresnel frames are off by alot so I see a couple options:

1/8" retainers akin to the original design with the dado being a slice to the bottom save an inch or 2 ( unmeasured conjecture by eyeballing cardboard "fresnels" ) or using 1/4" ply with an 1/8" dado which would be pretty much static, non adjustable.( lcd frame is about 3/16 so adjust accordingly)

option one would get things up and running, untill option 2 can be fabricated.

fresnels would be ruffley the same size H as the lcd+ frame however you do have some room V to play with.

I'm gearing up for option one now, and wracking my brain for option 2.
