I love all those old light gun games and was wondering if it would be possible to play those games on my projection screen.

These folks claim to have one that works on projectors, but it's out of stock. http://www.gameasylum.us/unliguncofor.html

LAME! the TC4 guncon 3 will only work up to 50" diag... lame... too bad, I was all ready to go out and get it. wonder if the zapper or the Wii in general has the same issues... anyone know if the Wii controllers have probs with say 125" screens?

I play my Wii with my projector, but I only have it set to about 90" diagonally (not 125"). I have no issues with it, but there was a small amount of adjusting I had to do. I can't point at the exact corner of my screen and have the cross-hairs in the corner; I have to move the remote a little more towards the center. But, since I am not using it as a rifle with a scope, direct line-of-sight to the corner is not necessary. I quickly learned where to point the remote for it to hit any part of the screen, and now, since I just look for the cross-hairs on the screen, I don't even notice exactly where the remote is pointing. It was an easy adjustment for me; If the cross-hairs were in the center of the screen and I needed to move them up, I just lifted the front of the remote until the cross-hairs moved up to where I wanted them.

I think you will be fine with a 125" screen, as long as you can get used to the remote not being pointed exactly where you want to aim.

So for a shooter game that might be an issue, but the other remote based games, its not a biggie... gotcha. Yeah im still baffled that they would not try to make a bigger range of screen sizes with the guncon... especially when prices on 50+ screen LCDs will come down a lot before they are willing to make another guncon. I was just hoping it would work because what little pre-release info I saw said that it was similar in design to the wii remote, and that they were updating it for LCD, Plasma, AND projection. I guess they didnt count on lumenlabs ridiculously large screens smile.gif

Possibly slightly off topic, but this guy http://www.cs.cmu.edu/People/johnny/projects/wii/ is doing amazing things with IR LEDs & wii controllers & projectors... not even using the actual wii console, just a PC with bluetooth. Lots of ideas for interactive light tables using a projector, and using the wiimote as a mouse with your comp. I bet mouse flash-based shooting games on a projector would rock.

This might help if you want to use your Wii with a very large screen:

I haven't tried it myself, but the wiimote tracks up to 5 IR sources (there are 5 in the sensor bar) so if you spread out the 5 LEDs (better to buy our own instead of breaking your sensor bar) over the top edge of your screen, it might make it more responsive across the entire screen.... and just sit further back.

Yeh I had my projector up to 160 inches and had no problem with the Wii (after a little tweeking of course)
