Yesterday i stripped my ACER "1711s" and noticed it was dull on both side of the panel? But i start to soak the front and had the AG removed this morning in approx 5 sec....realy easy,
and i had it soaked for 9 hours. But i don't know what to do with the dull backside, and it can't be the Polarizer...or?? Can somebody tell me if i can remove this dull layer, i have already start to soak.
By the way, this LCD don't have any FFC problems at all, and it was realy easy to remove the AG....if You can wait approx, 9-10 hours smile.gif

This is one of the bizaare cases of an lcd being manufactured with A/G on both sides of the panel. If you are sure it is A/G then the water soak should work as well (crossing fingers). What you should be left with is raw PVA (polarizer) exposed without the layer of TAC & A/G. Careful, be watchfull for graining (PVA splitting) by removing excessive heat from the lcd emitted from your light source.

FWIW, my LG 17"LCD had AG on both sides. I never stripped either side. I was going to and then destructo-kitty got to it. After that, there wasn't any point.
