Hey guys I'm new to this whole possiblity of HDTV and everything and know I need an HDTuner. Do most new devices that can support higher resolutions have them? or will it specifically call it out if it can do it?

I've had a chance to get my hand on one of these. It has HDMI and supports resolutions evidentally up to 1080i and has an input for the antennae, but doesn't say if its tuner is HD or not. does this mean it probably isn't an HD tuner or are such things just assumed these days?

Thanks in advance.

No that unit does not have a HD Ota tuner.

If a unit has one it will say that it has an Atsc tuner.

If it has a Qam tuner it will also receive cable TV HD channels.

Got a Samsung DTB-H260F tuner off of Ebay for 85 bucks. Works fine for OTA hdtv.

I am using an old Voom receiver for OTA HD
