I'm currently using my VCR as a cable tuner. It works OK, gets all channels offered by our cable company (2-89). I was wondering does anyone (reviews welcome) have something that just takes coax cable TV in, and outputs a signle for my TV?

That's exactly how I did it for a LONG time. I have since moved, and my cable provider gave me a digital cable box ( with analog outputs :-( ).

Well thats all I'm using when i had the VCR hooked up, good-ol Mr.Yellow RCA. However, now i no longer have the VCR, I need means of getting the cable to my TV. Well my TV doesnt have a coax input, just RGB, RCA, VGA, HDMI, etc. The cable TV we have is a proprietary cable service. So theres no box, no upgrading, no HD. Just basic "Get it yourself" cable. Most people in my neighborhood have satellite, however for a DirectTV plan would be like $100/mo. And right now I'm not trying to spend all that.

What TV doesn't have a tuner?

Well, in that case you may as well check out this discussion:

TV Boxes To VGA

If it's got a NTSC tuner, I'd bet money it'll handle cable channels as well as OTA. Worst case scenario is it doesn't work and you have to return it.

Well it's this but in a 42" model. Same basic features Maxent HD TV Monitor I guess the product mentioned would work, lots of negative reviews
