OK! Here it goes 1 triplet,1 m59 ballast,1 400 watt 4200 kelvin bt 37 halide,1 7" portable Byron and Davis portable dvd player,1 220mm fresnal 1 317mm fresnal switches fans x 4 1 sheet of tempered glass from a work spot light, 1 6" bowl for reflector, 1 digital meat thermometer .The projector has been built for a while now and i am reasonably happy with the results. The thing that i'm not happy with is the over all brightness of the projected image as i feel this should be much brighter.I'm not using a condenser because of the size of the bulb being so huge.Is there any way to install a condenser ?Pic's to follow very shortly!!

pics please it makes it hard to help you out without any pics but i think you would be pretty happy with all the stuff you have posted that you have used

hm, isn't the BT37 one of the bulbs with a large outer envelope?

If so, it would be very hard to get an appropriate condensor I think. Also I have heard that the condensor only increases the even-ness of the lighting, but does not really increase lumen output.

I could be wrong...it should probably say that in my sig-after every post tongue.gif

Yes the outer envelope is large. And i've test run with a small condenser that i have and yes it increases the brightness a lot but it just isn't big enough for that envelope .Sorry for the poor pic's they were taken with camera phone.

Can't get DNET at my place only BEV because of the lush Jamanji vegitation in my backyard tongue.gif I like DNET better but i guess BEV is better then nothing. How do you like the pj with the 7" screen? Hows the screen door effect on it?

I too have Bev and Charlie hooked up. Plus a few others.
The side of my house looks like a A dish minefield.

BTW I have a VS Plat and 2 Sonicview 1000's hooked up in my house.

Well here are my conclusions for three different types of bulbs the bt 37 400 watt 4200k m59 65cri the coralvue 400 watt e39 6500k 91 cri the powerlight 400 watt e40 6500k 91cri the results are this: the bt 37 is ok but to big for a small build, with ambient light in the room the image gets washed out easily, not a high enough cri, warm picture being projected. The coralvue is the best bulb to use the colors are perfect the image is really bright.

Hello Guy's here's a shot of my setup screen sorry for the bad picture as this was taken with my camera phone the image is allot nicer in person!!Brighter and hardly any screen door effect!
