Hey all,

ok so I saw the the DIY HD antenna post and decided to build my own.

The company I work for, Diversified Technology, is working on an antenna project so I thought I'd run it up to their labs and let them generatate a Return loss graph and a Smith chart

And here are the results.

Just a thought. You might get better results if you move your feedline to the middle of the antenna instead of the end. It would certainly be interesting to see how your charts change when you do this. wink.gif

You know... a lot of people consider me a really smart guy... but as i read thru this, those blessed graphs bout tripped me out. It was like my brain hit a brick wall. I couldnt figure it out. There has to be some kind of code or something going on here.

seriously, though... I have built quite a few homemade or DIY antenna's just messing around thru out my life. And I am kind of confused at this original posters level of progress here?

I have tried pretty close to what he has built here... I didn't Find it more successful then many previous attempts which i considered failed apposed to simple rabbit ears.

Maybe there needs to be more info on this ...and possibly pics
