Hello,

what type of mirror is supposed to be used in folded designs ?

Where can I get this type of mirror ?

Is there anything specific that it should be mounted on ?

Thanks

Front surface mirrors are considered best because a rear surface mirror can cause undesirable ghosting due to the light path having to go THROUGH the glass for a rear surface mirror. There's at least one ebay vendor with a good reputation and Surplus Shed sometimes has useful mirrors. Some folks have stripped a conventional mirror to expose the silvering and converted a rear surface mirror to a front surface mirror. A little creative searching on these forums will reveal more detail. smile.gif

Edit: Check my ploD for a 3 point mount idea. I personally don't recommend mounting the mirror ON something because even slight deformation can cause projection artifacts. You want a totally planar reflective surface.

Front surface mirrors are a specialty item. If you live in a city then you might be able to find a source but otherwise you're likely going to have to resort to mail-order. Glass manufacturers and optics places are where you should look.

Hi,

Im not sure exactly what size I'd need. I suppose I need one to cover a 10.6 panel. What do you suggest in size ?

Thanks again
