So I have been running the newer lumenlab 6500k t15 For about 25 hours now, for about 8 or so hours a night(i think it has been run alot closer to 35 but i am not sure). The damn arc is still bouncing around, I have the 4200k lamp that is burnt in already, but the colors of this lamp are much better with the 10.6". How long should I expect for the arc to settle down? It really makes for an unpleasant experience while watching anything. I have the LL black e-ballast. Thanks alot

edit: It is mounted in the horizontal position. I guess what im asking is really will the arc settle down or should I start looking for a new lamp?

Did you try burning it vertically? I burned mine in vertical, and am using it horizontal in my PJ. I'm using the LL bulb, the box says its a CoralVue.

I'd say it's possible you just got a "lemon" lamp??? Sounds like you've used the ballast with another lamp with no problems? You may wish to contact customer service and see if this might be covered. I'm not certain what all can cause an unstable arc but it should have settled with that many hours on it IMO. I think once it's "stable being unstable" it'll keep dancin' on ya. sad.gif

I have been burning it in horizontal because that is the way it will rest in my projector. The ballast drives the older usohio t15 pulse-strike just fine. Thanks for the opinions, I will contact customer service biggrin.gif
