This room was a walk-in closet, so I was told by my realtor dry.gif Its 28' long and 7'5" wide, not great but not bad either. It started out all white walls with shelves EVERYWHERE. Other than the card table that was left by the previous owners in this room, it didnt look like it was ever used for anything other than storage. Honestly, the room started out as an office and was only going to have one 32" LCD on the far wall for football. Crimson red and white were the first colors thought of since I was raised as and always have been an Alabama fan. After looking through the PLOGS here I was inspired to do something more with the room though. Anyone can paint a room their favorite team colors and mount a Tv right? I thought it would be cool to do something a little different, something my and I could BOTH enjoy. So a little flat black paint, some burgandy, black and gray material and a lot of standing in the middle of the room pretty much trying to figure out what to do...........and we have what you see below 1 month later laugh.gif All the pics were taken with one of those very cheap "pen cams" that is pretty much just a cheap webcam. I still have to paint the ceiling, frame the screen and put up some curtains around the screen. There is also some track lighting that I've picked up from Lowes that needs to be installed as soon as I figure out how to do it without burning down the house dry.gif And yeah, its not a DIY PJ but hey, I can hardly hammer a nail...it was killing me trying to get a DIY PJ working correctly tongue.gif

The sign I threw together in Photoshop, my last name is Poag (duh)........keep telling myself, PS is for paying customers........eh, I'll work on their projects tonight laugh.gif

Is that a commercial projector I see in there? Blasphemy!

Just kidding, of course. The room looks pretty cool. I like the dolby digital plaque, nice touch. All you need is a movie poster sign with all the dancing lights!

Yeah, I was thinking about trying a DIY movie poster with the lights around it. Shouldnt be that hard to do, basic electric..I can handle that since I dont have to design and cut...lol. I've also got a dts and THX plaque up but didnt get them in the pictures. This camera is terrible to say the very least, gonna have to go buy another real one I guess. Oh yeah, I'm sure you picked up on it but I failed to mention the mid range speakers in the JBLs are blown, so one has been taken out....guess I should take the other out also until I get the news replacements...lol.......Thanks for the comments

Decided to get off my but and get a camera so here are some more pics. Of course there has been a lot of work done since the last time I posted any pics. The room is so dark that the pictures do not show the detail around the screen and other places but you get the general idea of whats going on here. I've still got to lay down some carpet in front of the screen where there is tile at the moment. Oh yeah, the sock in the floor is from my dog named "Sox" laugh.gif . He likes to grab my dirty socks and play with them. Anyway, here ya go and let me know what you think. (screen isnt finished...so there are some lighter areas on the outside. I'm still playing with paint)

You might notice in the above pic, there is a fresnel there in the bottom left corner. (you can see the top corner of it) Yeah, its from a 52" big screen and yes its going to be for sale soon.

I'll add some screen shots later on this evening. Its storming right now so I dont want to turn the PJ on and chance something shorting out if there was a power surge. Dont really care about the PC, its not like I dont have another one just like it..lol

What media manager do you use for your movies?
Tw1zt3d
To organize all my movies (ones on the hard drives) I have a program called "All My Movies". Its a pretty nice little app, all in all. It organizes all your movies, alone with box art, a description of the movie, rating (R, PG etc), user ratings (you give) and a screen shot of the movie if you wish to have one. You can also launch each movie from it with one click.

For playing my movies, I use Media Player Classic and I ONLY use this. It is the best player I have found and I've used them ALL. I do not like Windows Media Center or any of the other media centers out there at all. As far as pulling up your movies and things of that nature, they are great. When it comes to really tweaking, they fall and they fall bad.

BTW, the company that makes All My Movies also has a few other apps. "All my Music, and a few for games. If you guy know of any "media center" out there that offers all of the options that I'm looking for (FULL, I repeat FULL ffdshow and tweaking options) please let me know. Until then, I dont mind one bit sitting with a wireless mouse and making changes while watching on Media Player Classic.

I forgot to mention that I've added a Pioneer Laserdisc player since the start of this thread (sitting on the bottom under the DVD player, VCR and Gamecube int he pics). Along with that player, I got 10 movies including the original 3 Star Wars in mint condition for $10 bucks on ebay! The guy lived in town so no shipping. Moral of the story, always sort things on ebay "distance: nearest first" when you first look in a catagory. You never know what you might find. I've seen a lot of people selling big screen TVs and large audio item on there with a LOW starting bid and no reserve but only allowing local pickup. If you can find those in your area, you can find a really good deal!
