I have been reading soo much but have not seen anyone mention using an ohp light kit in a boxed projector. I have an OHP with a DYS Bulb 600 Watt-120 Volt and would like to use it in a Pro-V type wuxga setup.

will this be enough light or does it get to hot for these?

Thanks, Cornmeal Butte Mt.

Yes people on these forums use OHP light kits in aboxed projector all the time.

The 575 watt MH light kit is very popular right now. I don't know if anyone has used a 600 watt but I'm sure it's been done.

You can use it but at least from what I have seen and the one I have the color is really yellow but if you have have it use it I will use it in mine just for testing purposes. Probably the main disadvantage is the bulb life, true they are cheap but they dont last long. To each there own.

I didn't think my ohp setup was off by much, but i dont have much to compare it too
