The date should say 2007 not 2006. I have been running this puppy for 2 months so far. No problems.

Its about 30kg. throws a 3 meter wide image(not diagonal) at 4 meters. I am only using a 330mm colimator and no condensor. The brightness is good still at this size but only in total darkness. Actually i would never watch a movie with any lights on. The blacks and contrast suffer.

buhl 315mm triplet with a fs mirror that also came with it. I could not get a normal orientation without using the mirror. Go figure.

Click to view attachmentdust filter for air condicioner. This one is very thick. I think you can get thinner and get better airflow but i could not find thinner here.

door slides in tight fit due to the way the aluminium right angle is cut. ONe screw top and bottom secure the door. Click to view attachment

once cable is vga cable and the other is a power cable for the lcd. I wanted to connect to a computer stabilizer. Dont connect your projector to a stabilizer. The start up charge will fry it just like mine. Click to view attachment
This slot was supposed to be for the lcd menu controller but i later found out it was not needed once the settings as set. I also had a hard time fitting and still functioning so i decided to just put a dust filter and use it as an exhaust hot air. there is no fan on the inside but the hot air from the ballast is right next to it so it should exhaust . like i said no problems with cooling for 2 months so far.

Click to view attachmentlcd fans. There is a heavy dust filter on the inside. there is very little light spill from them after the filter is in. The photo exageraged the light intensity.

So this is the end. I tried taking screen shots before the ag pull with a friends camera but the photos were crap. The image is very nice. Contrast is excellente expecially after i pulled the fog filter (ahh i mean ag layer).

I feel kind of sad that i must sell it for financial reasons but even if i sell i will make another this time maybe wuxga from a 15.4 incher.

Do you have any screen shots from your projector? It looks really good! Where did you find a 1000w lamp!
Bugmage
yeah i know how hard it is to do these things sometimes, took me forever on mine

-but if you sell it you can always build a sweeter one later smile.gif

Its not a 1000w just a standard 400w philips bulb. I took a few screen shots but they were lousy. I need to get another camera that has good manual control.
