Alright guys heres what is going on with the panel right now. As of now the panel is on its way back from china with the MST9E19 (same as the 10.6 kits). I hope to have it back here by monday, then I'm going to check if everything works on it. Then from there I'll start ordering the panels!

Its Monday!

It is Monday isnt it. I hope it comes in today. I want to here how it works. I go in for surgery (nothing major) tomarow and want to know about it before the anesthesia knocks me for a loop.

Yes it is monday and sorry to say it won't be here for at least 3 days. They said that they only ship on certain days and that mine was done on bad and had to wait for the next shipment. Sorry guys its going to be a little longer.

Edit: I hope your surgery goes well x 25, I hate when they knock me out even if its nothing big.

Well, i suppose i can wait. Actually, its not a problem. Anyway, for the surgery they need to shove a tube down my throat (im having my shotsky(sp?) ring stretched) and i would rather be out for something like that.

Yeah it does. I thought the LCD was on its way back from china but there still programing it! They thought it was done but then when testing some thing wasn't work right, like the vga wasn't working or some thing along those lines.

oh ok, hopefully they will fix it soon! im guessing that the LCD/controller is PAL and NTSC compatible?

Im starting to get restless with this 7.2" lcd. Are we going to see these any time soon, or should I spend my money on the 10.6.

Yeah they just got done programing and now its on its way back, FOR REAL THIS TIME! (They had to make all new firm ware for the board to work with the 7.2")

Would you be willing to ship one to the UK. If so, please can you count me on the group buy?

small update for you the 7.2 is offically on its way (after paying a $70 shipping charge ), so I'll be testing it out within the week!

Ouch either we need to do a donation thing or we are going to feel a little bit of it in our purchase just kidding we are all waiting ...............

Yeah I know $70 bucks they should be over nighting it to to for that much! I think that is this the lowest shippment they can do because they ship like 100 boards at a time not 1 at a time normally.

Recently got my hands on an Elmo hpa305 solar deluxe. Hoping this will work for a super bright 7incher. It's a 575watt metal halide with a 260-305mm variable focus lens. The specs are here. What do you think?

that OHP is one of the best in my opinion. as long as your able to cover up any light leaks your projection should be bright. 10.6 on a 4000 lumens OHP was pretty good. but color temp on the lamp was too low.
ur OHP has the 575w light engine that everyone seems to like. so i would think it would be bright.
if u just plan to have lcd + OHP set up i think your better of with the 10.6 something tells me it will be brighter than it would be on an OHP than 7.2
anyway thats just my opinion

Yes I will be starting a buy group soon, I don't think Johnzo is going to carry these because I am doing the buy groups and should have them on hand.

Alright guys this is getting to be a pain in the ass (can I say that?). They shipped it to the wrong flipping address and got returned to sender, they told me I need to pay for shipping again (ANOTHER $70.65!), So I responded by saying "You have got to be joking its not my fault you can't copy my address down right! I will not pay to have it shipped again! Get it right get it here soon! I payed $70 to ship a 2lbs box, you could ship it 5 times over for $70. Thank you for your help!" I thought the thank you was needed at the end!

Edit: What can I do if they won't ship it back? Johnzo is shipping that expensive for you with these guys?

Hi. I'm living in Shanghai and according to my experience it's really quite expensive ( at least shipping to europe, guess US is the same ).

The FedEx online calculator tells me that a 2lbs-30cmx20cmx50cm-value:200usd-package is about 500rmb, thats roughly 66 USD.

How do you handle customs? You're paying twice (when entering China and US )? Maybe there's a way to declare it as a sample without value to avoid that?

Shipping woes ... Not to worry . I do have a suggestion , I believe that there are quite a number of us who are really waiting for the group buy to start . It sounds fair to me if you state the $70 as additional shipping cost for the first sample piece .Then split that $70 with the group . Sounds fair ?

yeah when you sell the others in the group buy, include a little more for the shipping
