Subject pretty much says it all. I need to know the viewable area and dimensions for both the 77" and 90" manual screens that LL sells. Thanks in advance.

OK, assuming the formulas for 16:9 are correct in this post

QUOTE
How to Calculate a Custom Screen Size

Use the following formulas to calculate a custom size. The formulas will assist you in finding the viewing area only.

HDTV (1.78)
Video Format
Diagonal x 0.49091 = Height
Diagonal x 0.87247 = Width
Height x 2.0395 = Diagonal
Width x 1.14585 = Diagonal
Height x 1.78 = Width
Width x 0.561837 = Height

That would put the 77" at roughly 67" x 38" and the 90" at 78" x 44". Still need to know the viewable area (thickness of border) though.

I asked Brainchild awhile back and IIRC the border does not encroach on the viewable area. That is to say a 100" screen has 100" of white diagonal and not like 96" of white diagonal with the black border hogging the rest. You really should verify this with someone who acutally has one though since it's been a l-o-n-g time since I inquired and I would up buying a screen from somewhere else.

Thanks Durachko. I have Robin (LL intern) checking on it for me. Will post once I hear back.
