Ok, so i am going to build a HT and i need a projector for it. Only problem is i want to make a small pj so it is going to be a 10.6" but i want a big image. The room is only 159" long (13.25') and i want to project a 149" widescreen image. so, i figure i will tyr to make my projector no longer than 2ft. so that gives me 11.25' to get an 12.5" image. Is there any way to get a throw of less than 1 to 1?

So from the looks of it, after messing arround with the focal calc, i am just not going to be able to pull off the size i want so i am going to try for 120". Also, i need to deside what kind of light i am going to use. I am going to try to install eather shutters or blackout shades so i can control the light in the room, but i still want a nice bright picture. Should i go with a 400w or how about the 150w ceramic ones ive been hearing about? What is the benifit of the ceramic bulbs? Also, the standard lenses will give me a shorter throw right?

I'm using the 10.6 feel free to check out my plog Plogage Here
I'm using a 250w/6500k/90cri lamp couldn't be happier and that's getting me a 120" HD picture from 10', 12' away.
Still not done though but getting close.

DAMN!!!

had I made more research, I'd have done something out of that.

Oh well, the second one will be better... biggrin.gif I'll go for 1080P next time for sure. And a smaller enclosure. and a smaller panel. I did learn a lot though. And I'll probably create the next one for my brother in-law.

Cheers on that!

Sorry to tell you, but that panel was abandoned due to unresolvable FFC issues.
