so i got this idea from jonjonran. i think he was the first to do this and he has helped me a lot.

so i guess im not that smart or something and i dont know how to use a multimeter. so what i ended up doing is installing the controller on the bottom of the original controller this way i dont have to buy anything extra for the cooling of the lamp. the original controller takes care of it.

but here are some pics.

i still have to get the lcd working. once that is done i will post some action shots

Looking good.

Are you having "glowie" or uneven black screens from the unsplit setup?
benjimatt
ill get back to you on that when i power up the lcd. but i could imagine that the setup will be better with split fresnels. but ill get back to you on that hopefully tonight.

Could you measure the voltages on this 6-pin molex and the 3-pin molex above it. Simply put the voltmeter on DC volts and stick the red lead in the far right hole and the black lead in the 2nd to left hole. Then turn on the power and record the voltage. Turn off power and stick the red pin in the second to right hole and repeat. Do this with all the holes.

For this I am defining the far right hole as the one closest to the LCd and MH bulb.

Make sure your hands are outside the projector when you turn it on and the projector is turned off when you change leads. You can do it with the projector on, but why take the chance until you become comfortable with electronics.

Benjimatt,

If I'm pushing too hard for measurments I apologize. It's been a week since last you reported. I hope I didn't scare you off with my requests. You need not make any measurements if you're not comfortable. But please keep us abreast of your progress.

So im being a bum. I havent had any time to work on this projector at all and no i have to do stuff for my car. So im pretty much just going to sell it. I still havent even purchased the 12v adapter lol.

Glad to hear from ya. Kinda worrid you stuck your finder in a high voltage circuit or something. Good to hear all in one piece. What ya selling your stuff for?
