Ive been looking into getting a CNC Router as they have 1,000,001 uses and look good fun.

This leaves me with two choices, DIY or Commercial DIY design.

DIY looks fun but as i have never used or built a CNC machine it could be a pain for me.

I have found 1 maker on Ebay based in germany that make some rather nice machines.

They cost alot more than DIY but much less than full commercial ones, they take the hastle out of building my own and offer a warranty that gives peace of mind.

They look well made and have some nice features.

1600 step bipolar steppers

Dual X axis steppers.

End stop switches.

What do you guys make of this machine, is it any good or should I just try and build my own?

If you want to be up and running and cutting stuff out w/o spending months getting the machine running then Id buy commerical. But you learn alot about the machine when you build it your self. I think if i had to do it again I would buy a brand new commercial machine. I bought a used commercial machine and rebuilt it. Well Everthing went great except the electrical. And after months and months of work I still do not have the problems fixed with that.
