i'm sort of finished with this project so it's time to post some screenshots!
Pictures were taken with some daylight present using an svideocable. HDMI equipment has to be purchased along the way.

The picture above is a bit dated. A filter has been placed over the fans.
The screenshots were taken with the mst standard settings. At first i found the screen a bit dark. Altering the settings made a world of difference.

thanks! it took me about three/four weeks including ordering parts. I took my time. Everyday a little step.

UPDATE:
because the beamer has only got a natural coolingsystem in the back i've moved the ballast to outside the box. this will keep the ballast cool.

thanks! i found building the box sideways is easier. the surface is flat so i could easily align everything.
