For this project, I set about trying to use up spare parts lying in my shop, in anticipation of a upcoming move, so I called the result the Everything Except the Kitchen Sink or EEKS Projector.

• Case was an old tower PC from my first computer purchase.
• LCD was stripped from a Toshiba SD-P2800 portable dvd player purchased on ebay and repaired. Resolution: 800 x 480. Contrast: 400:1. Response time: 30ms.
• Signal source is the player itself, with lvds/hirose cables soldered, spliced, and extended with an ancient SCSI cable.
• Light engine comprised of pro reflector, 150w single-ended GE ceramic, and the popular Surplus Shed condenser.
• 200mm rear fresnel, ~400mm front fresnel (taken from 3M OHP), and 14"/355mm FL mini Beseler lens.
• One 120mm exhaust fan pulls hot air away from light engine. One 92mm exhaust fan cools the optics sled.
• Front surface mirror used in single horizontal fold.
• Focus mechanism employs an OHP arm.

Unfortunately, I did not take many additional pictures before giving this away (as a birthday present for my brother), but here's a few of how the project turned out. My PLOG has a few more details, but this was a fairly rapid, and undocumented build.

Thanks. No more screen shots I'm afraid (I gave it away to my little brother) but there are a bunch more build pics in my plog (see my sig).
