I've always wondered why laptop monitors are capable of such high resolutions (even the smaller models).. then i wondered if there is a way to use laptop monitors as the LCD for a DIY projector.. take this 15.4 inch monitor for example..

These laptop monitors are already in use. The only issue is needing a controller for the LCD screen to add desirable inputs. If that monitor could be use with one of the commonly used controllers, it would be a good deal.
