I'm looking for a leftover piece of LCD polarizer from polarization.com that anyone may have before I go out and buy a half-sheet from them.
If anyone has a piece that is 13.5" square, please pm me. I'm happy to pay for it, I just don't want to buy a half-sheet of the stuff for $70.00.

TIA
ChuckL
Did you ever find your sheet? I have a nick in mine and need to replace one too.

Nope, all I got was the sound of crickets.

When I peeled mine up, it came up in one sheet with adhesive on the back. I was thinking of trying it out on the back of the triplett lens if I can find a section of it that doesn't have crease-marks from the removal. Of course, I'd have to remove the antiglare from the front of it as well.

Post it in the trading post area and you might get some replies.

I understand that it HAS to be against the LCD in order to properly polarize, putting it near the triplet won't work. This was discussed in another forum don't remember which one.. you might find it doing a search tho.. huh.gif

Not true. It depends, of course, on the orientation of your optics (folded vs. non-folded) and whether triplet placement puts the polar on the correct side of the lcd, but several members (and I believe Elken was the first, at least at LL) have successfully placed a polarizer at or within the triplet. Now, the effectiveness of that placement and whether best contrast can be achieved there is another discussion, but it certainly can be done.
