when i plug my xbox via the svid like jack on the back of my comp there is like a 2 second delay on the pj
any ideas why??

i'm using the ati multimedia sofware

ati all-in-wonder 9200 video card
2 gig celeron
windows xp with sp2
1gig of ram

is my processor just showing its limits or is there some other prob such as vid card not good enough

Any PVR card is going to add a delay to the video feed. This happens because the card creates a buffer of the stream in order for the PVR functionality to work (pause, rewind, etc). This is because the card writes to the hard drive, then feeds the file from the hard drive back out. It doesn't stream directly from the input to the output. There are hacks for certain cards, like the hauppauge PVR150 I've heard, but it is what it is.
