I, like jonjandran, own the Ask 900-series projector and I'm starting to get the upgrade bug. However, the $200 entry fee (lcd+controller) seems a little steep and I'd like to how the portable 10" screens fare? There's a lot on ebay right now and for about $30.00 I could get one but if anyone has experience with building one using a 10" it'd be great to read their thoughts

Thanks

These are two completely different panels. The 10" panels on ebay for $30 are low res panels. The 10.4" kits johnzo has been selling are wxga (1280x768) panels. You're likely better off keeping the existing LCD that you have in your PJ now.
