Alright I have been I guess a lurker actually for I believe 3-4 years. (I want to say when you had to be a customer to access certain sections can't recall exactly) Well I decided two months or so to register and have been reading ever since in all the possibilities. I was heading towards 15.4" but if I can achieve the equivilant hd with 10.6 thats the way I will go. Still confused with some things I am sure I will be able to figure it out hopefully. I am usually always doing diy type of things or "hacking" from modding consoles, planning on putting a pc in my car with 7" touchscreen, IR receivers etc.. I know my main issue will be with the box for a fact.

I currently live in an apartment but mounting to the ceiling if need be won't bother me it can be fixed with a little putty. I would like for everyone to be able to play the Wii with this projector so I was thinking possibly a coffee table type of design unless it can be built small and light enough for the ceiling.

Here is what I am looking at purchasing so far from all the threads I read. If you see something and feel I can get better quality of something please feel free. Although I am far from rich I want quality to play a factor as much as I can afford.

Ok so I thought I had some links saved in my favorites but apparently not. I am trying to decide on what triplet to get I know LL has one but I had read some were using one called besseler. Any advantages? Also anyone know the thread where lighting was discussed for the 10.6? I know most spoke of the 150w phillip but I am trying to find where to get the mogul or alternative better lighting.

The Lumenlab triplet is probably the best bet. It has a mounting flange (which the Besseler doesnt), it's inexpensive ($35), and it works with monitors up to 15", so it'll handle the 10.6" no problem. I have this one and hopefully in the next day or so I'll have an image. The lamp choice will depend on what you want out of it. I for one believed in the work that Elken did and hope to get similar results. Good luck with the build.

Alright so I have now ordered new pro reflector from Davide-NYC. And LL standard triplet and a triplet focusing ring from Litherish. I also purchased over the weekend a Onkyo HT-S894 surround sound system.

I appreciate the input gecko. Does someone sell a lightbox type kit using the 150w bulbs were using.?

note: the standard triplet will work with up to a 17", its the fresnels that need to be bigger, either the pro or the 3dlens... ive got a 17" with standard lens and i can barely tell the dimming in the corners, and only in calibrations, not actually watching a movie or gaming...

cheers,
Chris
