So, I purchased a 22" brass Beseler off of eBay for use in a 15" projection system. I recently bought the surplus shack goodies to kick it up a notch and now all that is left is my Fresnel's. I have found a website that is the supplier of 3dlens and am going to be placing an order in the upcoming week or so. Shipping is 30$ and the western union payment will be 20$ to get 16$ worth of lenses to the states. If anyone would be willing to get together with a group buy we could all get some nice lens's for a very reasonable price. The website is www.bhlens.com (best viewed in internet explorer)

did you check out 3dlens.com?

For now I think that the cost would be

(Your Order)+(15$ towards import Fees)+(Shipping to your door via Fedex or UPS)

These are the people that provide lens's to 3dlens. The price is alot lower going directly through them not to mention it makes the lens's available that 3dlens choses not to stock.

You almost-certainly would find many here interested...not a "Key to Internet-Millions", but you'd find it worthwhile (and can likely get a price-break for minor-quantities].

I guess I should either get a post started in the group buy section or just get them and then post them as "for sale". Which would you advise?

WOW, they sell a 100cm x100cm lens. Holy crap!!! Suddenly projection itself has taken a turn, unless a LL member gets ballsy enough to:

1) strip or mod (i.e., replace the fluorescent backlighting with MH goodness) a 1080+p 40" LCD
2) find/make a lens that can project such a field
3) make their own outdoor drive-in or night-time picnic movie house
4) profit!
