1) If i am working on a vertical fold design. I need to make sure the LCD to TRIPLET measurement stays the same (515.82450mm) or (20.3081 inches) that focalcalc gave me. YES or No (see drawing attached)

2) For ease is the FS mirror best placed at a 45 degree, like my drawing?

3) Moving the mirror further away from the LCD will require a smaller mirror. Is there an issues to be aware of, like being to close to triplet?

4) Am I correct that the light/image cone will just change direction at the mirror and contine to reduce torward the triplet without distortions. Anything to watch out for?

I think thats it for now.
Please help me where you can.

the two lines actually should total your 515.8 (can prolly round up) when the horizontal line coming off your mirror reaches the center of your triplet (take special notice of the measurement in the FocalCalc- see how it isnt measured to the lens of the triplet but rather to the center of the triplet - at least this is what research other plogs have told me. I'm still in my vertical build process (no plog yet). Not really that big O' deal as long as your triplet is adjustable by a couple of inches or so.

Ahh Yes. I see the line goes to the center of the triplet. So I will make that the center of my focus rig.

A few observations, please correct me if I am wrong:

1) Looks like the LCD is always at a fixed position in the box (no need to move) based on focalcalc data.

2) The distance from LCD to rear fresnel appears fixed also (around 15-20mm).

3)Lamp should be allowed to move forward or back and up and down a few inches.

4) Front field fresnel is fixed at 20mm forward of lcd (no keystone required)

5) Allow triplet to move an inch or so forward or back of focalcalc's estimated distance

If you don't need to keystone I would consider doing unsplit optics. I just think it looks better and is an easier build. Mirror angle is critical to max light output and focus. In unsplit it goes like this
Collamerator-15mm(5/16)-collector-20(13/16)mm-LCD.
I have that monitor in my PJ and it is pretty good. Be very careful with that side FFC as it is very thin. I will be posting pics in my plog in the next couple of days on my LCD. Just got it andhave just put in in my PJ and it is pretty good. I am still tuning it though. Lamp need up down left right forward backward adjustability. Good luck on your build!
Peace
