I know there is already a forum like this, but my computer is going slow, so i dont have the time to find it. Anyway....Im one of those people that mod everything they get their hands on(it dosnt feel like its mine, unless i mod it somehow) Does anybody know a brand and model number of a pj that you can mod the lighting to accept one of our types of bulbs? Particulairly MH.

Any input would be appreciated.

Many people are modding commercial projectors with DIY lamps.

You often have to bypass circuits that check the lamp is working and keep track of lamp usage.

Then you are very limited on lamps due to the very big difference between UHP and the lamps we use for DIY,

I have seen several conversions which use HID car headlight lamps and work well.

they have a forum with some conversions.

Alright heethens, The projector i bought is a Dukane ImagePro 7200. It came with one bulb, But it is a 400w halogen, im not sure but i dont think that is gonna be bright enough. For my first projector i thought it was a good buy at $120. The bulb cost $10 each and only last for 50 hours. But i want somthing brighter, any suggestion?
