I've just got my hands on a sanya plv-z1bl projector. i have a shuttle media centre with a gecube radeon x800gt graphics card and am connecting it to my projector using a vga -> vga lead.

My problem is that the bottom and top of the windows screen is being cropped. the native res of the projector is 966x544 but the closest i can get the graphics output is 8720x576 (although windows keeps inferring that 800x600 is preferable).

any advice would be gratefully received.

Although I don't use it myself, there's a program out there called "powerstrip" that can allow you to use non-standard resolutions... check it out.
