Plain and simple, which bulb would you buy to go with my S51 ballast?
Ushio S400DD? $40 or so online, are there any better alternatives? Or should I ditch the ballast and get something completely different?

S400DD will work for sure. As a matter of fact I just ordered one from lightbulbemporium.com
Other than that I don't know 100%, but I would say any High Pressure Sodium 400W lamp.
