I'm looking for some alternate bulbs and the real world results. I've read about Eye and USHIO brands having some good results.

Who out there has used alternate bulbs? Success or failure, I wanna know. biggrin.gif

Looking at the color temp spectrum it looks like we could use anywhere between 5000K and 6500K since that range is classified as daylight. As long as the CRI is above 80.

Anybody try a lower temp after using a 6500K lamp? Dissapointed, surprised, ecstatic?

Please post or link to screenshots so we can get a list going of the good/bad bulbs.
(or link to a thread that has already done this if I missed it tongue.gif )

There are only so many that don't cost an arm and a leg.

There is the HQI lamp then the HMI/HTI/MSI/MSR types I'm using a MSI 1200 watt and it is great.

There is a Zeon 100 watt out there somewhere and some stock PJ replacement lamps.

The ceramic lamp is a 4200K and there has been many PJ made with 4000K lamps.

I don't want to really call any one bulb bad.
