How do I know if Im going to havve an issue? I started with an etronix 1520. And I discovered that it was lp150x09 panel made by LG 350:1 CR 16.7 million colors etc.

So anyway I got all of the control cards off and the monitor off and all im left with is stripping the actual panel of the backlight etc and Im not sure what everything is on the panel and whether im going to have an ffc issue so here are some photos if you can help me out and say hey you're going to have a problem, it would be appreciated. http://www.thenjscene.com/chad/lcd/

Looks like you've got an ffc issue. Hard to tell from photo's alone but that board with the "Do not touch" all over it is one you need to lay flat.

The ffc on the side (with the arrow pointing at it), will probably need extending. Not the end of the world these days.

It's also hard to tell what's going on with the board at the top, it may just be a part of the back light.

Apart from that 1 ffc issue the controls etc (in the other photo's) look easy to work with.

If you touch the "Don't touch" part, be very careful not to bend the ffc's back too far, just enough to pull the backlight out then put some paper or something on your panel to protect it from the lcd and lay it back in it's normal position till you're ready to mount it.

You'll have to work out how to disconnect the ffc at the side and then what type of extension you will need.

Cheers,
Arkay.

Thats actually some silver piece of tape or some kind of fastener I think. It doesnt look like an ffc. I just uploaded some new shots and in picture 20 you can see what it is best.

I confirmed it to be tape however if you notice theres dark things on the left side of the panel. I took the tape off and they were some kind of ribbon (FFC but they were green and had writing. I posted more pics of that in particular. they are blurry but I think my description gets the point across. They werent attached by anything but the tape so im not sure what they're connected to or what they're for. Maybe they're part of the backlight? Im afraid to go much further. Pics 21 and 22

We decided in the chat that its fine. Now all I need to figure out is where I can get a ballast since all I have is a sodium one. I also need to figure out how to use a ballast.
