Do i really need to remove the AG for my LCD? What if i don't need to remove AG, need some feed back.

Thanks
Durachko
The vast majority consensus is that removing the antiglare is beneficial in terms of projected image clarity, brightness, contrast; however, it is far and away NOT something which MUST be done. Plenty are happy without having removed antiglare. Also, it is a calculated risk you are taking when you set out on that path.
You should verify just what IS on your particular monitor before proceeding as well.

What Durachko said above. The simple answer is no. On some LCDs, AG removal makes little difference. On others, a noticeable increase in brightness and clarity is seen. If you can find some builds in the plogs that use your LCD, the builder of that particular PJ may be able to guide you. It can be a risky procedure.

Thanks for quick help. I'm using Planar PL150 LCD.
So do i need to remove AG?

Thanks

I think removing your AG depends on how good everything is alighned and if you want to risk messing up your lcd. I have had my projector running for about a year and I just decided to remove my AG yesterday. The picture does look better and brighter but it is still a risk.

It is my personal opinion that most people who have removed the AG on their LCDs have seen little *real* difference. It's hard to quantify what difference is really there, because the eye plays tricks. If you expect things to be better it will seem so.

I did remove the AG on my LCD, but onyl because it was badly scratched. Afterwards, the bigst difference that I noticed was that the scratch was gone. smile.gif In the meantime, had my AG already been removed when the LCD got scratched...

Until you have things done, I'd leave it in place. Once you have a working projector, if you still feel a need to tweak and refine, think about it then.
