Question for the ceramic "powerball"/small arch lamp professors-

Where can you buy them online in the US?

How do you properly match a ballast with them?

Can you list successful bulb model numbers and ballast model combinations?

Maybe we can list sources on this thread. Currently the highest wattage available is 150watt? I've also read word about mythical 200-250watt versions?

Thanks

The problem, I believe, is that not all 150w ceramics have the same amperage requirements.

I am using an Advance F-Can Ballast (model # 72C5482-NP-900, 150 Watt, M102/142, 120/277v)

to power a GE Constant Color ceramic (Part No. 20014, CMH150/T/UV/U/942/G12)

Both were purchased on ebay.

But I am not 100% certain that my ballast will run the ne plus ultra Phillips CDM short arc.

FWIW, with this same ballast I have also run the non-ceramic Osram Powerstar HQI-T (150W/NDL) and Sylvania HSI-T.
