Ok so theres never really been a striaght answer to this question. The reason for this I'm pretty sure is that the video processing chip used in the G2A board comes in both an HDCP compatible version and a non-HDCP compatible version. I think that even the manufacturers of the controller boards themselves are confused as to whether or not their boards are HDCP compatible or not, which is why some websites say that the board is HDCP compatible and some don't say it is. But one thing is for sure, NONE of them say that it isn't HDCP compatible. I'm asking anybody that has a G2A board to please, for the love of God, actually plug in an HDCP source into the G2A board and tell us what happens! If this has already been proven then please send me a link.

No it is NOT HDCP compatible. And yes I've tested the G2A to make sure. Currently there aren't any controllers for Wuxga screens that are.

ok thanks... has anybody ever tried buying an HDMI (with hdcp) reciever chip like the SiI 9133 (http://www.siliconimage.com/products/product.aspx?id=101) and pairing it with a non HDCP DVI transmitter. I don't see why this wouldn't work. The only problem is that just by googling im having a hard time finding a DVI transmitter that doesn't have HDCP built into it. It seems like they're trying to build HDCP into everything! Could somebody shed some light on this. I asked a couple companies for a quote on the SiI 9133 and I'm looking around for a dual-link DVI transmitter without HDCP.

I can tell you I know nothing about anything, but by looking for prices for the SiI9133, I think you could be better off with the AD9880KSTZ, DigiKey has them in stock for $15.56
