your build looks pretty good, I like the furniture legs. most important is it works. have you checked the temps? that looks like a rad shak fan which is only pushing 65CFM. I like at least 100CFM. good screen shots. try using a tripod or set the cam on the top of the PJ when you take a pic.
good job!

lol thanks smile.gif .yea its a radio shack fan,it does pretty good i ran it for about 6 hours straight the other day and it stayed uder 100 degrees by the lcd.im sure if i put a filter in the air intake it wouldnt be strong enough but i do plan on finding out.yea i need to take better screen shot,i think im going to do that this week.

I love the fact that you've managed to mount the LCD controller boards external to the box! Damnit, why didn't I think of that! smile.gif

well i moved the light and the results are amazing the whole screen is brighter and the conners are pefectly lit,i took 2 pics with the kitchen lights on behind the screen.next time i will take some with all the lights out.

10 feet diagonal screen verry happy with the results

well since i moved the light back the box seems to be getting to hot now.i think the reflector is blocking some of the air flow cause its right in front of the fan.the heat shield is starting to melt dry.gif so looks like i will be adding another fan sad.gif.

afwol,

It look like you are using the Magnavox 15MF605T LCD panel. After reading a lot I finally purchased one to use in my projector. I am just waiting on LL to get lenses in to start the project. Have you removed the AG? I too like the furniture legs. Have you thought about installing another fan to move more air? Just a thoght about temperature management. Keep up the good work!!

How did you go about removing the ag? I know people have done the soak method, but just want to know what you did exactly?

i did the soak method, make sure not to get impatient though and let it soak for atleast 6-8 hours.
