My room is small and right now my projector is in my closet and i wheel it out in my room when i want to use it. My desk faces to the side so i cant comfortably use my projector on my computer. So im trying to see what other peoples set ups are

thanks

I have my projector in my bedroom projecting on a white wall above where my stereo is. Its nice to play movies and games on a 78" picture from your bed. happy.gif (my plog is in my signeture)

Mine is in my basement which is still being "finished". It's ~11.5 feet from the projection screen/wall. The enclosure sits right "behind" a support pillar. The walls are 3 shades of green and the floor is marble-style tile with a white suspended ceiling. Not optimum home theatre design but it works for me. I hope to get some recliners in the near future so I can fall asleep while watching movies. biggrin.gif Once I'm done I'll post some pics in my plog or maybe make a short home theatre thread in that forum. (Note: I'll be done in thirty or forty years at the rate I move.)

Mine is a large hole in the ceiling. I really need to order a projector but I cannot decide.

The screen is so big I almost can't get it in the shot 136"x58" Cinemascope Screen
I covered the wall with black felt to make the screen really POP

(it is not bowed in real life, the camera does that)

Seating about 15' away from the screen with projector and anamorphic lens for cinemascope

HD-DVD player tucked away on a crossmember in the ceiling

HTPC tucked away up there also

Here is my room. (which is also my bedroom.) Please ignore the mess. i realy need to clean it.

My sophisticated adjustment system for my projector.

It consists of 3 computer cases, an osiliscope, a camcorder case, the box from my Wii, my Atari 2600 game case (with atari in it), and 2 random boxes.

Here is my computer with quad monitors.

And here is my "screen" (it realy needs to be painted.)

And here is my stereo, origenally assembled by my dad in 1983. (cd player was added in 85)

I have a small apartment/living room area. I have my infocus projector screen(from woot.com) ~7-8 feet from the projector on one side of the room(evo 1.0), hanging from chains from two wall hooks. My projector is on the coffee table, my futon is right behind the coffee table. My computer desk, TV, and surround receiver is caddy corner(sp?) on the other side of the wall also facing the futon. Pictures to come...

I now have a commercial projector and screen in a room thats 13'. If you want to see a video of the setup you can click on the link. it's 8 minutes long. The first couple minutes of the vid deals with the room setup and the second half of the vid deals with the projector and screen in action.
Good luck

I cannot believe you even showed those pics!
I also don't believe you have a wife that let that room get that bad!

I'd guess you are talking about the pictures from x_25, a member who is, if I remember correctly, just finishing high school or starting college, and living with parents, so, not likely married.

Whaaa!! LOL!!! Looks like my place smile.gif Only my place is a bit bigger so I still have space to move around.

Anyway, here's my Ghetto setup I build yesterday in one hour:

Screen: white MDF board I still had from an old (also ghetto) closet.

Projector: Sony Superbright smile.gif Oldschool crt beamer from marktplaats (sortof dutch eBay) for 65 euro. Yeah!
It's a bit blurry but after a few beers I find I don't care so much.
Ghetto beamer adjustment from bottom to top: dishwasher, microwave, cupboard, two comic albums, beamer.

One of 2 HK Audio 400w@8ohm speakers.

Crown XLS 602 amplifier. 2 x 370w@8ohm

I guess the sound system is a bit over the top compairing to the beamer smile.gif but the sound is overwhelming. And that is an understatement.

Next purchase: HD beamer. Sometime. In the future. Maybe. Hopefully. Insert large amount of cash.
