OK, I got the fix, or I think I do. Waiting for a transistor to arrive. The sound now works. Im thinking now what if the repair dosent fix the problem. I belive Ill gut the Tv and re assemble or possible just install my 15" vertical in there somehow. Im wondering how to do it. Mirror angles, how many mirrors will be too many ect. I built my projector last year and its been awhile. My biggest concern is the throw distance, how can I shorten it to fix the box and project to the 55 inch screen?

Got to all cleaned out. I set up my 15 inch vertical about 50 inches behind the screen with the back off and it looks pretty good. I could not get the pictire to focus at that distance so I rigged the lens about 3 more inches out past the cabinet of the projector and it focuses. Why wont the projector focus at that short throw. That is about what it will take to fill the screen with the lenses I have now. Can anyone tell me about such a short throw not focusing?

I'm assuming your using the 'focalcalc' program to figure throw distneces, etc, which I got around 55" for throw distence with split optics using your 15" panel. I'm working on a RPTV project myself and I'm wondering if the frensil lens in the RPTV screen is playing a role here in the triplet placment? I would think so consedering it plays a role similiar to the frensil (sorry for the spelling unsure.gif ) lens in split optics config of a LL projector, concentrating as much of the PJ output foward towards the viewer as posiable in this case.

I've given a lot of thought about throw distences and cabnet size (I'm working with a 45" screen in this case rolleyes.gif ) and belieave me its a tuff egg to crack. The only soloution I can figure to keep cabnet depth to a resinable size is the to increase the hieght of my RPTVs cabnet by building a false stand. In other words the stand would 'look' like just that, a seperate stand, but would acttually contian the projector shotting up towards the rear mirror. The vertical throw would give me the needed 45 inches (split optics, 17" lcd) of throw without having to make the cabnet supper deep. Now for me this works out putting the screen at the right viewing hieght from my bed (don't ask long story laugh.gif ), don't know if this would work in your setup.

OK, I have removed the insides from the TV. I Placed my 15" vertical in the cabinet and its way too big. I got a descent picture on the screen and I can see that it will all come together now. After doing some trial projections from behind the cabinet and taking some mesurements and checking all the angles I have redesigned a box for the projection unit. I will be able to remotely mount the ballast and alot of the components and that will really cut down on the heat. The box is about half way done. Pictures to follow. I do believe that the fresnel in the screen will focus from about 40 to 55 inches. Does anyone have any actual findings on this? Pictures to come.

um...dont know if you gave up or not but whats wrong is a transistor called HOT or known as horiszontal output transistor is shorted out. if rpeplaced and still no pic but sound.....test between the collector and the emiter one way will read nothing and the other will read somthing. if it reads open (0.000 or OL) than ists good and you have a bad BR. if you get a reading both directions than its bad again and your FB is burnt out as well. hope that helps......if your FB (fly back) is burnt out youll see cracks in it and FB are hard to find....if its more that 3 years old.

Hi,
Is anybody faced a situation of blowing out fuse of LumenLab eVo1.1 as soon as you replace it ? Mine was working good from last few months but this is just happened yesterday and I replaced old fuse with the new one and it got blowed almost immediately after switching ON the power. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
