Hey, found a great program (i think it was on digg?), basically just generates alot of random colors to bring your dead pixels back to life. While I have run the program to see if it works (it does), I havent had any dead pixels to test it on, let me know how it works!

EDIT: I keep getting a message saying I am not permitted to upload a file with that extension, I tried uploading the standalone file, Jscreenfix.jnlp, and then I tried putting that in a .dmg file and uploading that, no luck. This program is very small (4kb), Id be glad to forward it to someone who knows where to host it.

I think you have to zip it to upload, so it will have the .zip extension.

I thought those programs "unstuck" pixels.. As far as I know, you can't bring pixels back to life if they are toast.

But I don't really know much. tongue.gif

Why not just post the link to the site? It is JScreenFix

I just used it on a CMV 520D for a stuck pixel and it actually worked...

THANKS!!!

Hey everyone, sorry I just kind of dropped off the face of the earth, but i posted that a few days before I left to be in the southwest conservation corps, and I only get to even see a computer about once every 3 weeks. Thanks TJH for posting a link while i was in the wild.

It isn't for Dead pixel's - you can't fix dead pixels -
It's for 'lazy' pixels , lazy pixels , are just lazy and wont work tongue.gif
But with that program you can make them awake.

Allright , i know my english isn't the best language i speak ( i'm 14 ).
And btw , in the Netherlands we talk about lazy pixels , i donn't know if you engelish guys use another word.

I have a pixel it stays green(just one small dot) barley noticeable, but it drives me crazy. Is it stuck? or dead?

It's stuck. A dead pixel is usually black cause it doesn't power up. Sometimes you can rub a stuck pixel and it will release. Sometimes you have to let a pixel program run awile to get it to work.
