Lumenlab > CNC, Automata, Robotics > DIY CNC

Hello everyone, I was just over at HobbyCNC and I saw a "huge price drop" sale. I was wondering if you guys had an opinion on whether it was a good deal or if the parts were of lesser quality? Looks like good savings if it is the same.

Thanks for any response..

Would I be wishing I bought the newer boards a few months after I bought these that are on sale? Do you know of any major differences between the two boards?

I swear that I tried looking up "Opti-Isolation" and couldn't find what exactly that means. Could you shed some light on that?

Maybe they put some chewing gum on top of the opti to isolate it from dust? biggrin.gif

An optical isolator is chip that has a led transmitter and light sensitive receiver in the same package.
The input and output are isolated electrically by using this light link.
These are great; if you accidently connect the output circuit to line current, your pc is not fried!
