Hello I have been a long time lurker to these forums and decided to show my face finaly.

I purchased 2 dell 1503fp's off of ebay for 80 canadian. both worked other than the things that power the backlights were dead. I opended them both up and both had a 20pin fcc issue. I was able to extend it with an old fcc from a laptop. I had extened the fcc on one and it worked. but then i turned the lcd off. I turned it back on later and nothing showed!! So I tried the other lcd it worked fine until I turned it off and back on. I tried both without the extention after and niether work anymore.

I am sorry for the big rant but my main question is is extending an fcc than turning the lcd off and on enough to kill the lcd?

Thanks in advance!!!

Sorry to bring back a thread from the dead, but did you ever solve the problem. I have a similar one right now!
