I havent been able to do much with the pj for a while because of the holidays - inlaws came to visit etc. finally the other I got a chance to play around trying to get the focus in order (my left side of the screen is completly out of focus)

I noticed that the 220 fresnel got warped out of shape probably due to high heat ... I now have ventilation but the damage is done ... I am planning on getting a new 220 fresnel but I dont want the same to happen ... I also would like it to stay planar..

even with a new fresnel I would notice the center sagging a bit ..

so I am wondering if I sit the fresnel on plain glass in the frame - would the glass affect the image? would I get glowies etc.

or I can ask this differently and say what do I need to do to prevent the fresnel to stay planar on a vertical setup ?

thanks in advance

Hi Kunteper,

I think you should look into why the fresnel warped in the first place. Is it because you don't have adequate cooling? If so, you should look into fixing this before throwing peices of glass in there. If your cooling is a problem and you add a price of glass, the glass may melt the frensel directly.
