well, lets see if I finally get it complete..

I have decided on a final optics configuration, after all of the mods have come home to roost..

but I have left room for variations, in the fressie/lcd section.. split unsplit etc, by using cassette method.

this one can at whim be a vertical, sideways, or a straight shooter, but for my lounge, it will be a sideways mounted..

I have started with building the insides first then will exo-skin it smile.gif

Looking good so far. I would be keen to see some close-ups of your light engine and lens mounts in due course, if you don't mind the potential for me to steal your very best ideas!

Are you only using previously loved parts, or is there any new stuff going in?

So what might that final optics look like? Are you going to use a lamp to light this thing? What might that be?

I have a nice used 1200 HTI if you need one. laugh.gif

Yoooo-hooooo . . . anyone home? What kind of conclusions have you reached regarding mirrors elken? If you fold what will you use? Common department store mirror DIY stripped to a FS state or something a bit fancier like a really optically flat FS mirror with a protected aluminum highly reflective coating? Any comments, insights?
elken2004
ok here are some shots,, even tho the innards have been built the fressies and panel etc have just been proped roughly,, need to build carriers for them,, and alos the ext mirror too smile.gif

broad daylight as is. and even with the rough sets it still is good

Good work, elken cool.gif

Great to see a big bright daytime pic, but hard to see what the corner focus etc is like. It's after 9pm over there, so will we get some full dark pictures soon?

I'm very keen to hear and see more details of the build when you get the chance, and I know lots of others are too.

Thanksism.

A Wiggles officionado and a Trekkie. These ozzies are deep, real deep. laugh.gif

This'll surely be a beauty elken. One quickie I personally look for in screenies people post are these spots:

If those spots in the color wheel are maintained and clearly discernible it always makes me figure that member got it right. And you sure get it right. When you're not chasing skirts that is. tongue.gif

elken sir cannot we reduce this screendor or the mash look .I vividly remember that in a cinema hall there is nothing of such sort i think because of the nature of the movie film. But can we reduce it somehow.
swanny
You could look at how Panasonic do their smoothscreen. It does seem to be at the cost of sharpness though.
tom alter
How do they do that? There is some technology being used by "HP" as well?Any idea?
