I have a question about the LCD orientation in a vertical fold design. When I fist put everything together, I had the LCD facing the same way as in a horizontal build, and my image was backwards (noted!). I have since then switch the orientation so that the image projects correctly now. I have seen a few Plogs, pu15her to name one, that look like the LCD is oriented the same as a horizontal build. Is the LCD connectors just folded to the top (in other words backwards) or is the LCD orientation different?

Here is a horrific 5 min paint representation

Thanks for the link, but I have seen it. I have the LCD oriented the correct way, but I was wondering how other had the Controller and power board to the top of the projector in a folded design. If I have the LCD the correct way, the connectors face down, not up. I could see if they are bent the opposite direction, but I would be afraid to do that.

Sorry I misunderstood your question. I'm sure you're well aware the connectors vary somewhat from unit to unit and what with all the variation in designs I'm sure some guys bend their connectors "up" and some bend them "down". It's always risky to bend them far from their original orientation but it can be done. So, yeah, some guys maybe have them bent "oddly" or perhaps some are using some software trick to reorient the image on the LCD? This has been bandied about in the forums but off the top of my head I don't remember which reorientations are commonly available via software and which are not typically encountered.

FWIW I'm building a vertical design and I have my controller above the LCD. I know I could safely bend my connectors either "up" or "down" but I opted to lay them out flat since my build will be rather "roomy".

I did not take into account different models of LCDs being different or more forgiving with the connector edge. Right now I have my controller and power board below the LCD, but I am going to come up with a way to mount them above the LCD. Since I do not want to risk my LCD, I more than likely won;t even attempt to bend the connector edge the opposite direction. Thanks for the responses though.
