I've been considering a vertical setup for my projector. I've been also thinking about hiding it into a old filthy furniture...

In this case, I would put it vertically, in consequence, I'd need a mirror

But I came up with this idea. I've seen it a few times but not to use it as this. Anyways, this fact doesn't change anything haha

Instead of having the mirror first and then the lens, I'd put the lens facing the mirror. This way, it'd be reflecting the enlarged image.

So when the lid is closed, it doesn't look like a projector. Then, I open it and... well it won't look like a projector neither but it will be something strange with a mirror giving me a large movie and i like that smile.gif

Is there any cons doing this? I suppose the mirror would have to be larger than putting into the case, as the projected image is larger. But this could be possitive if you think about minor scratches in the surface of the mirror, because you'll have less image over it

What do you think, experimented ones, about this?

Yep, you can do this. There are at least several already been done. Off the top of my head I don't know which members did this though. If I come across them or remember I'll come back and let you know.

The size of the mirror needed is directly proportional to its distance from the lens.

Thank you

After posting, I realize that so many OHP has the lens and then a mirror

Anyone that has made this and it's happy, or not, with the setup just tell me^^

Thank you again :]

I used it for a little while and it worked just fine. I ended up getting a different OHP lens for
it eventually that already had the mirror in the lens.

Here's the mirror style.

Here's the new lens.

But your idea should work just fine... I like the idea of the top being closed when not in use,
then popped open for movie and TV goodness. smile.gif
