Sorry if I already missed it but has anyone posted cad drawings or the like of a Haas box using a 17" lcd and standard 330/220 optical setup with standard triplet?

(i know about the corner issue but widescreen presentation will fix that.)

Thanks in advance.

I am doing the same thing, using a widescreen format with my 17" but I am wondering...
does anyone have an image like this one, that shows how much the triplet will cover without dark corners?

that is the one I made to show what I think it would look like..

I think the one you made is great. It really illustrates the problem of getting all the "green area" inside the "yellow area".

Now someone just needs to chime in and answer your question. laugh.gif

(and mine possibly)

Well, if you know where to find the haas style plans for the 15" all you need to do is add 1.3"W and 1.6"H and yer set.. tongue.gif But to be on the safe side i'd just add 2" to both.

As for making the box, I don't have the tools so I will just be going with a sharp angle haas style. because all I currently have is a tablesaw blink.gif

I've got access to tools but everyone thinks I'm crazy when I start talking about this "magic picture light box" that has yet to come together. We'll see who's laughing when they're staring at thousands of lumens on my wall!

Sorry, on a tangent there for a sec. Yeah, i'm limited to a tablesaw/jigsaw/skilsaw for now. Miter saw for christmas maybe. It would be off to granpa's house for access to a real woodshop.

I could also use this drawing for refrence smile.gif
