i was wondering if anyone tested this.. how close can i put lexan to the bulb before it starts melting? im still trying to figure out how to place mine

put it as far away as possible. you can set it right against the collimating fresnel.

Like tameone said keep it as far away as possible. The closer it is the higher the risk of melting - natch. sleep.gif

People HAVE melted it and it makes one helluva mess so just don't go there.
