I give up.I was taking my time with my first projector, was doing it little by little and scrounging up extra money to get it done.Well, about a week after it become somewhat functional(just computer inputs still some light tweaking to do) Katirna hits and floods the thing out.Nothing salvageable except projection lens(entire front panel of PJ was on the desk).
So fastforward 14 months. My house is still empty,Im still in a FEMA trailer, but I have been quietly acquiring parts and had built another box.Was going to make my lumenlab order for new lenses right after the first of the year, when were expected back in the house and fire it up to watch a movie.
Seems that someone came in the house overnight and decided to find all of the electronics in a box and make off with them. They got a BRAND NEW Samsung 17" LCD,ballast and light, misc fans and switches and my TV box.Everything was in a box in the top of the closet,so i guess it was easy pickings. No one knew it was in there as I have been doing the majority of the work myself, but there has been a LARGE rash of copper thefts in the area.Extra wire, tubing, piping, anything copper that isnt bolted down. They only got a half roll of 12/2 romex and my Pj parts.
Damn thieves.I have given up on this project.Ive only been working on it for over 2 years.I guess its just not meant to be.

That really blows. I feel for you. Probably some of those freaking methheads.
I would think that Katrina may have changed the things you find thanks for today.
Perhaps some good can be found in it all.
I wish you the best.
Happy Thanksgiving.

sounds like it's time to invest in something in the 357 magnum size. or 12gauge size.

Unbelievable! How do they live with themselves, just to take something that isn't theirs, to walk right into your home. I'm sorry it happened to you.

Thanks for the well wishes guys,I really do appreciate it.As far as the gun goes,I have one,but you actually have to catch someone in the act to shoot. My guess is they went in and out the back door.I had it locked, but its one of those chinsy sliding doors that all you have to do is lift to unlock it.
Normally I have a nail in the top of the frame in a hole I drilled out,but I had been hauling things out the last few days and didnt replace the nail, only locked the latch. If they went through the back,I would have never heard anything considering my trailer is in the driveway in front of a separate garage.
I dont know if I want to bother again.Maybe after I get back in the house Ill have a look at that prebuilt PJ brain has now.
